Babies and Bones.

I am getting more and more terrible about updating this blog, so in turn, the combination of photos continues to get more and more random. So, below are a few shots from a family portrait session I did with the Lawrence family, as well as a recent trip to the North Carolina Museum of Natural History. Humor me. :)

and will leave you with a photo from my upcoming business project with mr. Morgan Eddington (morganeddington.com)

moving. love finding old things in our garage, particularly this Kodachrome box that expired January 1990. 1990 doesn't seem that long ago, until I realize this film expired 11 months before my little brother was born...hes in COLLEGE now. Yikes. Time Flies.

Ohhh how I love my girls. I was desperate to use my camera today, so of course I turned it on my favorite little models ever. They aren't as thrilled about my camera, but they put up with me.

New Project!

So, in my hiatus from the city, I have decided to give myself a weekly Photoshop technique to MASTER. I'm going to be revisiting old images and re-vamping them using the technique of the week. I'm going to make an effort to post the chosen technique every Sunday, then half way through the week, post up any major success or difficulties that I've come across, and at the end of the week, post some before and afters. This week: Switching Backgrounds.

I'll be changing background colors, swapping out backgrounds in general, etc.

If anyone even reads this, and has questions based on these tasks, feel free to comment, I'll answer. :)

American Standard

mark my words: this WILL be your favorite band. promise.

formerly Brandon Clark and the B-Sides, the guys needed a few shots to go along with their new snazzy name change, and they were sweet enough to let me join in on the fun. Here are a few of my favorite shots. Check them out HERE and you can check out the rest of the shots from this shoot on my facebook fan page HERE

U.S. Royalty @ Mercury Lounge NYC

U.S. Royalty, from Washington DC. Words can not describe how awesome these guys really are. I've seen then three times in 2 months, and I plan on catching them everytime they're near. Expect a lot from them here, and all over very soon. They're on the verge of something GREAT.

Andy Davis 4/30/09 and Portraits

I promised updates, and I'm going to keep them coming!! Next up I have the lovely and talented Andy Davis. My best friend (and fantassssstic musician) Brandon Clark turned me on to Andy a few years ago, and I've been rockin' to his piano filled love songs ever since. I was lucky enough to see him live and shoot some photos, and then have Andy and his bass player come by my office the next day and model some gloves my boss has designed. I cropped the gloves out of some of them just to make them look a little less like an advertisment. They were both nice guys, I'd love to shoot both of them again, maybe without the gloves haha.

enjoy!
