This is the perfect day to be in love.

Manchester Orchestra and Counterfeit Mistress

a good friend of mine called me up today and said his friend, Dan, was over at a studio recording the up and coming band Manchester Orchestra and asked me to come along and take some shots for them. and of course, i can't turn down a little in studio shooting :) the guys in the band were a bit shy and didn't want to be photographed much, but we got some pretty exciting shots of Dan and the one really plucky member of the group. here are just a few samples from the time i spent with them. also, check for a new site for Dan's studio, Counterfeit Mistress, done by Big Akita, the same group that put my site together :) some of my photos may be featured on the site, too.

Georgia, I'll be Chasing you the Rest of my Life

This photo really sums up our weekend. Happiness. Took a little trip down to Savannah for a little two day tour with Brandon Clark. This was a big step forward morale wise for the band, and we all enjoyed our time in Milledgeville as well as Savannah. Being back some where familiar was awesome, and having a packed house at the Savannah show didn't hurt either.
I'm really excited to work with these guys in the future, I know they've got a good career ahead of them, and they make for some pretty great subjects, too.

GENIUS

so i was talking to a friend a few weeks ago, and just joking around, i suggested that iTunes should install a mind reading tool. that way, you could play a song and itunes could just know what sort of music-listening mood you were in, and play the appropriate songs to fit this mood. well, the difference between me and Steve Jobs, i guess, is that when he came up with Genius, it wasn't a joke.

(also, the new iPods are pretty sweet, shake to shuffle is awesome!)

why i look bad in sunglasses, even though i love them so...

basically:
1. my eyebrows are too low, so they dont stick out of the top of my sunglasses, making me look eyebrowless, also making my already large forehead even...well...larger.
2. i sadly inherited my mothers nose, so the bridge of any pair of decently made sunglasses just floats above the non existent bridge of my nose (wish i would have gotten dads hot Jew-y nose now, eh?)
